Ilyashov Joins Cannon Design as Principal

Ivan Ilyashov, AIA, is a seasoned professional who views architecture and building as a valuable service to public and private clients and as a socially responsible art in the public realm.
26 years of experience as a project leader with leading architectural firms and governmental agencies has encompassed all aspects of building design and construction.
Prior to joining Cannon Design, Ilyashov served as Partner for Gruzen Samton, LLP in New York City, with past project experience that included design of the FDA Laboratory and Office Facility, the award winning renovation and expansion of the Staten Island Zoo Reptile Wing, master planning of the Dubai Waterfront and the addition of a 31-story 400,000sf condominium residential building to the Brooklyn skyline for The Hudson Companies.
His design for the Port Imperial Intermodal Ferry Terminal in Weehawken, NJ was identified as one of â€˜New Jersey's 150 Best Buildings and Places.' Previous to that association, Ilyashov served jointly as Acting Director for the City of New York Department of Design and Construction Schools Program Task Force.
Current assignments for Cannon Design
include a boutique residential condominium project for WAF Real Estate Management
in Germany, campus planning for the NYU School of Medicine Life Sciences campus in Manhattan, and master planning for the New Bed Tower of Danbury Hospital
Ilyashov holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan.
