Charner is on a number of Boards including NYEC, the Acorn Hill Children's Center, and Spoons Across America: the Source for Children's Culinary Education.

Ivan Charner has over 30 years of experience analyzing and evaluating federal, state, and local educational policy and programs related to school reform, teacher training and professional development; school-to-career system building; workforce development; youth employment and development; integration of academic and vocational education; school-business partnerships; and adult education and training.
He also has extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative research design; design of evaluation plans and strategies; critical friend evaluation methods; design of student, teacher, and employer data collection instruments; design and analysis of case study protocols; and use of evaluation data for program improvement.
Mr. Charner holds a master's in the sociology of education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto.
