He is also a member of the Board of the House of Culture of Israel in São Paulo, a member of the International Advisory Council of General Atlantic Partners, located in New York, New York, Chairman of the Board of Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais S.A. (Usiminas), a leading flat steel manufacturer, since April 2010, a member of the Consulting Board of GVT S.A. and a member of the Consulting Board of Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Vainboim was also the President of Unibanco – União de Banco Brasileiros S.A. from 1988 to 1992, President of Unibanco Holdings S.A. from 1994 to 2007, and Chairman of the Board of Directors and the President of the Audit Committee of Unibanco Holdings S.A. from 2007 to February 2009.
Mr. Vainboim earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and holds an MBA from Stanford University.
