Professor Sir Isi Kevau, ..., 14 Sept 2012 [cached]
Professor Sir Isi Kevau, Executive Dean & Professor of Medicine at the School of Medicine & Health Sciences at UPNG said he saddened by media reports that will further marginalise the Motuan people and their culture. "As a Motuan, I am extremely saddened by the article that appeared in the Post Courier on the 12th September bearing the title, "NCDC pulls out as major sponsor of Hiri Moale Festival". The reasons given by the NCD Governor included non-acquittal of previous Hiri Moale funds by MKC, lack of appreciation by MKC of NCDC's contributions and others. "I am not in any position to make a statement of judgement as to who is right and who is not. But what I can say is that this degree of polarity between the two parties (NCDC and MKC) is jeopardizing the future of Hiri Moale and the culture of my tribe."Sir Isi said.
