Isaac (Yitzchak) Schechter, PsyD
Dr. Schechter, a recognized leader in emotional and behavioral health care in the Jewish community, is a clinical psychologist and Director of The Center for Applied Psychology (CAPs) at Bikur Cholim in Monsey New York.
As director he has created a behavioral health center of excellence known for its professionalism and cultural sensitivity in addressing the needs of the Orthodox, Ultra-orthodox and Chassidish Jewish population.
The array of CAPs services include a licensed behavioral health clinic, school based counseling in yeshivas, educational programming for Rabbonim, educators, clinicians, and the community at large, child safety services, and cutting edge treatment technology.
He has most recently launched the Institute for Applied Research and Community Collaboration (ARCC), a unique institute whose mission is to conduct, analyze and disseminate rigorous research on psychiatric, psychological and social issues of the frum community in an effort to empirically base and guide decision making, resource allocation and program development.

Dr. Isaac Schechter, the Director of Rockland TMS & Wellness Center, is a clinical psychologist and Director of the Center for Applied Psychology (CAPs) at Bikur Cholim in Rockland County, NY. He served as a research scientist in the department of Cognitive Neurophysiology and Schizophrenia at the Nathan Kline Institute for nearly ten years. Dr. Schechter has published many clinical and research articles and book chapters on a variety of topics ranging from clincial neurophysiology, visual processing and topics in clinical psychology including trauma and spirituality. In addition, he has supervised many clinicians, lectures widely and maintains a private practice.
