Rev. Dr. Moore, a gifted pastor, preacher and teacher of the Scriptures, has been in ministry since 1976.
He comes to Camphor from the University Spiritually Alive United Methodist Church, Indianapolis, IN, where he was senior pastor from 1999 to 2013.
previously served Gaines UMC in Cincinnati, OH (West Ohio Conference) from 1988 to 1999; Wiley UMC in Springfield, OH (West Ohio Conference) from 1981 to 1988; Wesley UMC, Jeffersonville, IN (Indiana Conference) 1978-1981) and Hosanna UMC, Bethel UMC and Wardell UMC (a 3 point charge) in Griffin , GA (North Georgia Conference) from 1976 to 1978.
Rev. Dr. Moore earned a bachelor's degree from Cheyney University (1975) and a master of divinity degree, cum laude, from Interdenominational Theological Seminary, Atlanta, GA (1978).
He also earned a doctorate degree in ministry from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, OH (1990).
He has served as an Adjunct Professor for over 17 years at University of Cincinnatti, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and Methesco Seminary.
He has served at the UMC Conference level as Past Chair, Religion and Race (South Indiana Conference); Member, Board of Ordained Ministry and Investigation (West Ohio Conference); Chair, Ethnic Minority Local Church (West Ohio Conference) and Chair, Strengthening Local Churches through Biblical Education (West Ohio Conference).
