Irene Griffin is Technical Instructor for mixed media on the Textile Design programme.
She trained and worked in bridal, evening and childrenswear manufacture and fashion retail.
Irene graduated as a textile designer and practised as a designer-maker creating womenswear from reclaimed/recycled and vintage fabrics.
Since working in Higher Education, she has developed a strong interest in sustainable practise; namely demonstrating and promoting textile colouration with the use of natural vegetable dyes.
