Carey receives National Arthritis Foundation,s Citation AwardIrene Carey, left, was recently honored with the National Arthritis Foundation,s Citation Award.Carey serves as treasurer on the board of directors for the NEPA Unit of the Arthritis Foundation.She also serves on the Patient and Community Services Committee for the Unit.Her most recent role for the Unit was as an Ambassador of Advocacy for Northeastern Pennsylvania, giving presentations to Rotary Clubs on how to bring the Arthritis Prevention, Control and Cure Act of 2004 before their legislators.She is also president of the Rotary Club, Northeast region.Carey is pictured with attorney Mike Silver, chairman, Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter, Arthritis Foundation.
