We can thank Millenials, also known as Generation Y, for changing the recruiting game, according to Dr. Ira Wolfe, founder and president of Success Performance Solutions. He is an expert in helping companies recruit employees from all generations, but as a self-proclaimed 'Gen Y trapped in a Baby Boomer body,' Wolfe has figured out what works for the younger set - at least until a new technology or social media platform changes things again.

While testing helps winnow down the applicant pool, many companies ignore what Wolfe believes may be an assessment's most important value - the interview questions. Wolfe provides recruiters, HR, or hiring managers with interview questions based on the test results. For instance, if test results indicate an applicant may not perform well in high pressure situations or fast-paced workplace, Wolfe suggests questions that will help uncover vulnerabilities and how likely the candidate will succeed or fail once on the payroll.
