began riding ponies at age two in the Los Angeles area.
family moved to Oakland when she
was 13, and since then she
has ridden continuously.
own horses at her
barn in the Oakland hills and on the trails of the East Bay Regional Park District and Oakland's Joaquin Miller Park.
Inez graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in Foreign Language.
married and moved to England for several years while her
Air Force husband was stationed there.
While in England she
exercised race horses at New Market race track.
has competed in many riding disciplines: Eventing, Dressage through International Level, driving, endurance racing, and one year she
rode the California State Open Jumper Champion to victory.
coached the Oakland Vaulters
for many years when her
children were young.
has recently retired from teaching high school for 35 years.
subjects were French, Spanish, Social Studies and Physical Education.
has two daughters who are still involved with horses, and she
has three grand children.
Over the years, Inez
has srved on the board of the Metropolitan Horsemen's Association
She is currently the organization's President.
