Imogen is currently working as a researcher on the dance talent development project, an interdisciplinary longitudinal project investigating talent development in young dancers. As part of this, she is undertaking a PhD focusing on commitment, adherence and dropout in dance training from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Imogen has lectured in dance technique and dance science in further and higher education, and continues to teach these subjects on a freelance basis. She has presented her research at international conferences and has published in peer-reviewed journals.
Imogen has also written over twenty dance science and health articles in dance magazines such as the Dancing Times and Dance Today, and is the author of two information sheets which were part of the legacy of the first Foundations for Excellence conference in 2009.
