Ian Lenagan Ian has over 25 years experience in the software industry and is the non-executive Chairman of The Sports Office. After studying mathematics at Manchester University in the 1960's he later went on to establish his own software company which specialised in work force management. After a successful flotation in 2000 the company had a client list which included BBC, Walmart, Argos and Morrisons.
Ian has recently sold his remaining shares in Workplace Systems plc to the Lloyds Banking Group backed management buyout and spends the majority of his time overseeing the growth of The Sports Office, Replay Analysis and Innoved. He is also Chairman of Wigan Warriors RLFC and majority shareholder of Oxford United.

Lenagan took over as chairman at the start of the period covered by the accounts and says it was used to "clear the decks" financially.
A combination of one-off items which needed to be cleared, plus a spend in the region of £200,000 on loan players to cover injuries, which has been significantly cut since, were key.
Lenagan said: "There are a number of elements we had to bring forward and pay that hadn't been paid before.
