They took legal action against Fib's to prevent him publishing his version of the same magazine. In his April 1984 issue; Fibs reported that legal dispute to explain the complex titles that were, by then, appearing on his magazines. The outcomes were that Fibs was barred from being a company director for a number of years. (He got around that by using relatives and/or friends to 'front' his new operations). He was also restrained from publishing any magazine upon which both the words 'Kit' and 'Car' appeared together on the cover. (That's why, after he 'lost' KC his then new magazine was initially called 'Component Car', then later 'Which Kit?').
At this time (amid the confusion) publishers 'Link House' launched 'Kitcars and Specials'.
