Rev. Hugh Leigh, A.M., was a graduate of King's College, Aberdeen, and became minister of Bressay, Burra & Quarff in 1672. Suspended from his duties in 1702 for beating his wife, he was reinstated in 1704 and served until his death in 1714.[1]
