On Wednesday, August 22, at 7:00 pm, Hugh Curley, an Economic Development Specialist with the U.S. Small Business Administration, will discuss "Finding Help to Start or Grow Your Business. Mr. Curley will not only provide an overview of the programs available to support entrepreneurs as they start and grow their businesses in New Hampshire but he will also talk about how to best access them.
Although relatively new to New Hampshire, having located here in 2009, Mr. Curley worked in the area of business and community development in Connecticut for the past twenty years on the local, regional and federal levels. In his current position, he provides valuable information on services available through the SBA, their resource partners, and state and municipal economic development agencies.
Since arriving in Epsom in 2010, Mr. Curley has served on the Epsom Cable Contract Renewal Committee, and he currently serves as Chair of the Epsom Cemetery Trustees.

The Unites States Small Business Administration (SBA), New Hampshire District Director, Witmer Jones, announced today the addition of Mr. Hugh Curley to the staff of the New Hampshire District Office located in Concord, NH.
Mr. Curley comes to the Concord office of the SBA with over twenty years experience in the area of economic and business development. Prior to coming to the Connecticut office of the SBA in 1998, Curley served as Vice President of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce. In that capacity, he operated a revolving loan fund targeted to small businesses in the fifteen towns of Middlesex County. At the SBA office in Hartford, Curley was responsible for ongoing business development and the coordination of programs with state, regional and municipal economic development officials.
In commenting on the addition of Mr. Curley to the staff at the SBA's New Hampshire District Office, Wit Jones said, "I am extremely pleased to welcome Hugh to the SBA team in New Hampshire. His background demonstrates a longstanding commitment to strengthen and support small business owners as they grow and address challenges. His reputation is one of a man who becomes actively involved in his profession as well as his community."
A graduate of St. John's University in New York, Curley also attended St. Anselm's College as a Capuchin Franciscan Friar prior to his graduate studies at Maryknoll School of Theology in Ossining, NY. In his free time, Hugh has served as an elected member of the Boards of Selectmen and Finance in Durham, CT as well as President of the Durham Cemetery Company, Coordinator of the Head of the Connecticut Regatta and from 1997 - 2009 as Chair of the Community Decommissioning Advisory Committee for the six communities near the former Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power facility in Haddam, CT.
Curley and his wife Pat have raised four children in Durham Connecticut.
