Pastor Howard McCray of Fish House Ministries, gave an update to the council following a neighborhood meeting held on Aug. 13 and attended by 21 people.

McCray said it was a "good" meeting where parking, safety, property values and private property concerns were addressed.
McCray said the overall feeling from the neighborhood group is they don't want a bunch of rules and regulations, and want to avoid spending tax dollars on this issue.
As far as safety, McCray said he checked with law enforcement and there haven't been any complaints from the neighborhood involving people from the Fish House.
To help protect private properties, McCray said they'd put up orange cones or barricades to prevent people from turning around in private driveways.
"We will do whatever we can to accommodate residents with special events going on, if they let us know they're having them," McCray said."We'd be more than willing to put up barricades to prevent parking by these homes. The guys in the house want to make this a better neighborhood. They've offered to put up cones, shovel sidewalks, mow lawns; do whatever we need to do to make this a better neighborhood."
The neighborhood meeting lasted about an hour and McCray said, "it was a real positive, good meeting and an awesome opportunity for neighbors to voice their concerns."
McCray said he plans on holding the meetings once a month to keep progress moving forward as a neighborhood.
He said one neighbor at the meeting said she's noticed the Fish House has been trying to work on the noise issue.
