OSTEEN , Fla. - Howard G. Bean , 75 , formerly of Concord and Bow , died Thursday at Central Florida Regional Hospital after a short illness.He was born in Claremont , the son of Shirley and Ruth Bean.He was raised in Sunapee and lived in Concord with his family.He later moved to Osteen , Fla. , where he lived for 20 years.He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II.He worked in the graphic art business for Rumford Press ; was former sales manager of Lake Press in Burlington , Vt. ; founded the former Village Press in Concord in 1966 ; and was founder and publisher of the former New Hampshire Echoes magazine.He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Osteen , Fla. , and former member of First Congregational Church in Concord.He was a charter member and past president of the Bow Rotary Club ; member of Passaconaway Outing Club , the Senior Friends , Blazing Star Lodge of F&AM , Bektash Temple Shrine and the Deltona Elks Lodge 2739 , where he held the office of lecturing knight ; volunteer at Sanford Auxiliary ; received the Award of Merit from the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce in 1971 ; and former president of the New Hampshire Graphic Arts Association.Survivors include his wife of 56 years , Barbara Bean ; a son , Richard Bean of Chichester ; three daughters , Carol Bean of Concord , Patricia Kingwill and Joanne Ives , both of Bow ; eight grandchildren ; and a great-grandson.Memorial services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Kove Estates in Osteen , Fla.. Survivors : sons , Marshall , Howard ; sisters , Ruth Busbee , Sun City Center , Marjorie Holland , Goldsboro , N.C. Grissom Funeral Home & Crematory , Kissimmee.
