On October 22, 2006, Robert Rene Rubio, his wife, Daisy Bernal Rubio and their son, Robert Thomas Rubio received the Holy Mystery of Chrismation of the Orthodox Christian Church . Sponsors for the Rubio family were Horacio Ortiz, Lalia Bechara Coalson and Rita Lontos.
Best man was Horacio Ortiz . Our Parish Council President, Horacio Ortiz, was featured on the front page of our Caller- Times Newspaper on Sunday, October 8, 2006. The article described the desires that minorities had to achieve an education and the struggles they had to endure to get ahead in life. Mr. Ortiz's story was most inspiring and he presents an excellent model for our youth of today to follow. Mr. Hajek was the brother-in-law of Mr. Horacio Ortiz.
