Hope DuBois, Computer Technology Specialist - 1996Hope is a graduate of the University of New Mexico, where she earned a B.S. in elementary education, an M.A. in special education, and an educational specialist degree in UNM's Integrating Technology in the Schools Program.In 2000, Hope completed Master Teacher training in the Intel Teach to the Future Program.She taught for four and a half years in the Albuquerque Public Schools, both with "gifted" and "twice-exceptional" students, grades 3-5.She taught for two years in Santa Fe Public Schools in both regular and special education classrooms.This will be Hope's eighth year at RGS.Throughout her years as a teacher, Hope has developed and expanded her interest in integrating computer technology, especially telecommunications and multimedia projects into the educational curriculum.She and her husband Andy enjoy traveling and hiking with their 5-year-old son, Jaren.Outside of school, Hope enjoys digital photography, scrapbooking, sewing, and piano.She has been enjoying a return to a more active lifestyle with weight training, bicycling, and climbing.
