Braden was a former communications specialist for the Socorro school district and a freelance writer for the El Paso Times.He also formerly worked as a radio and television news reporter for KTSM; as a copy editor, arts and entertainment reporter and writer for the El Paso Herald-Post; as a unit producer at NMSU's radio station KRWG; and as a disc jockey for KHEY-FM "He loved people and he loved writing about them and he loved the arts," Holly Braden said."One of his favorite things to do was to write about the El Paso Symphony Orchestra."In recent years, Braden was the El Paso Times' main reviewer of performing arts events, such as symphony concerts and opera performances.He would often attend rehearsals during the week and write a review in time for the show.
