Youth FA President Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro said the topics tackled during the seminar focussed on the thoughts and objectives of the association.
He appealed for a change in mentality so that players who do not have the opportunity to play could move to another nursery without the payment of compensation money as this was stopping several youngsters from playing football.

In a pre-dinner short speech, Youth FA chairman Fr Hilary Tagliaferro welcomed all those present and thanked them for their attendance.
He also thanked all those involved in the organisation during the football season as it was very successful. He stressed the point that pique is very important and healthy as long as it will be in a friendly and sporting manner.

The guest of honour for this activity was The Malta Youth FA President Fr Hilary Tagliaferro.
Fr Hilary spoke about how about 30 years ago he had a ten-year old David Carabott as part of his group at Centre Sport Edukattiv, the same way that the children were today. He encouraged kids to be disciplined in all the things they do in life being sport, school and, later on, family and work. He concluded by saying that by being disciplined they could achieve what David achieved in his soccer career. Present were also various distinguished guests including YFA President Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro, Senglea Mayor Mr. Casha, Senglea Archpriest Rev. Grech and the presidents and secretaries of all Senglea societies. Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro, presented a trophy, given by Senglea Nursery, to Dylan Bugeja's parents as a sign of respect, due to the fact that even Dylan formed part of this nursery last season.

According to Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro, the priest behind the concept of the chapel, it has been particularly successful in reaching out to area youth.Fr. Tagliaferro resigned from his post of member of the Executive Committee of the Malta Football Association due to his commitment at the Millennium Chapel. He retained his chairmanship of the Youth Football Association according to maltafootball.com February 2001, Latest News. The Chapel is interdenominational but offers perpetual adoration, a concept that seems on the surface to be oxy-moronic.Fr. Tagliaferro is the Justice and Peace coordinator for the Augustinians in Malta--a lay organization.
