The four are Dr David Manning (Professor of Medical Imaging), Dr Hilary Cooper (Professor of History and Pedagogy), Dr Ian Harris (Professor of Buddhist Studies) and Dr Diane Cox (Reader in Occupational Therapy). Based on the Ambleside Campus, Dr Hilary Cooper is Reader in Education in the Division of History and Geography.She was educated at London University and spent many years as a teacher in London primary schools.From 1989 to 1993, she was Lecturer in Education at Goldsmith's College, University of London.She joined Charlotte Mason College in Ambleside in 1994 as Director of Professional Studies and became Reader in Education at St Martin's when the College took over Charlotte Mason in 1996.Her role involves the development of research into the teaching and learning of history at a national and international level, in addition to leading and publishing collaborative research projects with St Martin's colleagues and teachers in partnership schools.She lives in Grasmere.
