Dr. Henry Allen Tupper was head of our Foreign Mission Board from 1872 to 1893.During his years, the "controversial" action was begun to start the Woman's Missionary Union. In responding to the talk about the role of women, over 100 years ago, Dr. Tupper said, "it is wiser to stimulate the men than to restrain the women."I think he was right then and now.

Dr. Henry Tupper former President of the SBC Foreign Mission Board said, "Our age is the only one in the world's history when God's people have attempted to spread the truth over the face of the earth. This is because ours is the only age in which have existed the providential conditions possible. These conditions are: access to all peoples, means sufficient for enterprise and people that are free."He said this in 1891!

Folks, everything Jesus did during His ministry was cutting edge!Because He was not religiously dignified - He came close to being killed. He went to the lepers, to the Samaritans, to sinners! Some at the IRS became His best friends! His method of reaching out was so cutting edge that He was attacked by the religious folks! His message of reaching out was so cutting edge that some thought He was demon possessed!
