Named "Health Insurance Person of the Year" Arlingon, VA (June 13, 2000) -- Henry M. Dawson, RHU, CLU, received the prestigious Harold R. Gordon Memorial Award at the 70th annual convention of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) held June 4-7 in Cleveland, Ohio.Dawson was president of NAHU during the 1987-1988 term and his efforts have helped bolster the association's growth in stature and size.
The Gordon Award is the highest accord given to an individual in the health insurance industry; it recognizes the "Health Insurance Person of the Year."Henry has also received a Lifetime Achievement Award and the Hollis Roberson Award from the Texas Association of Health Underwriters, where he served as president. Dawson
legislative efforts to a new level by creating GRIP (the Grass Roots Initiative Program), which raised over a million dollars to support NAHU's national and state legislative activities.He helped create the association's Legislative Council and served on its Bylaws Committee.
