?Henry Ahn, a 25-year veteran of the television and entertainment industry, was named executive vice president of content distribution and marketing for Scripps Networks Interactive in 2011. In this role, he is responsible for the distribution strategy for Scripps Networks' portfolio of lifestyle networks - HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country - and related content across all platforms. Ahn also serves as a member of Scripps Networks' management committee and diversity council.
Ahn came to Scripps Networks from NBCUniversal. In his 17 years with NBCUniversal, he oversaw various aspects of affiliate sales management, business development and financial management. Most recently, he held the position of executive vice president of TV networks distribution and oversaw key distribution deals for 16 of NBCU's cable networks including USA, Syfy, CNBC, MSNBC and Bravo, as well as the Olympics on cable. He also worked with NBCUniversal's digital distribution division to deliver digital services to the company's TV networks distribution partners.
A graduate of Boston College with an MBA from Fordham University, Ahn's prior professional experience includes working as a financial analyst at HBO and Comedy Central, and managing strategic planning and analysis for EMI Records Group.
Ahn is widely-respected as an industry leader with the ability to influence and maintain key relationships at all levels. He has earned numerous industry honors over the years; most recently, he was honored with the 2013 NCTA Vanguard Award for Marketing. Ahn was also inducted into CableFAX's 2010 Sales Hall of Fame, ranked second in 2010 and fourth in 2012 among CableFAX's "Most Influential Minorities in Cable. He has also been named multiple times on CableFAX's top 100 cable power players list. In 2009, Ahn was selected as the Co-Affiliate Sales Person of the Year for Large Network Groups by CableFAX.
Ahn and his wife, Raye, reside in Knoxville, Tennessee, and Edgewater, New Jersey.

Henry Ahn has been promoted to president, content distribution & marketing, at Scripps Networks Interactive. He had been executive vice president, and he reports to chief revenue officer Steven J. Gigliotti, who was promoted to that position in March. Scripps said Ahn "will now oversee all aspects of distribution with both traditional linear partners and the rapidly increasing range of businesses seeking high-quality digital content."
"Henry is one of the most outstanding executives working in the content distribution space today. His knowledge and resolve have been essential to the successful renegotiation of major distribution contracts with key cable and satellite platforms, and he has been instrumental in ensuring that our brands have become must-haves among emerging non-traditional distribution services," Gigliotti said of Ahn in a release.
Ahn moved to Scripps in 2011 after 17 years at NBCUniversal, where he served in various affiliate sales, business development and financial management roles before being named executive vice president of TV networks distribution. Earlier he worked as a financial analyst at HBO and Comedy Central and managed strategic planning and analysis for EMI Records Group. Henry Ahn has been promoted to evp, NBCU Television Networks Distribution, responsible for all sales and sales support of NBCU's television content to cable, satellite and telco industries.
Ahn will continue to work closely with JB Perrette, president, NBCU Digital Distribution and his team, to deliver digital products to all of NBCU Television Networks Distribution's customers.

Ahn was svp of affiliate sales, NBCU Cable, where he led the field sales team in securing the distribution of NBC Universal's cable networks.Recent deals negotiated by Ahn include AT&T Inc., Verizon, Cablevision, Mediacom, NCTC and Rogers Communications.
Prior to his work in affiliate sales, Ahn was instrumental in expanding NBC Cable's strategic vision and reach as NBC Cable's vp of strategy and sales operations.He led cable distribution integrations; increased the subscriber base for Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC, Telemundo, mun2, ShopNBC and CNBC World; and was instrumental in securing distribution deals for the Olympics on the NBC cable networks.He joined NBC Enterprises in 1994 as a business manager.
