...Helen RegenstreifHelen Regenstreif was born in Brooklyn, NY and even as a youngster she showed promise in art.Her
mother would always talk about the lifelike drawings she
did at the age of seven.For many years she was a high school art teacher and expanded her various artistic abilities by also teaching calligraphy to adult and handicapped classes.
In 1972 Helen
turned to other art forms and first started to produce copper enamel.
In 1982, Helen
studies of Sumi-E art with florals on rice paper.The art of Sumi-E was created in Japan and involves the use of watercolors and special Oriental brushes.Helen
uses a variety of brushes to make different strokes.As her
ability grew, she
began to create beautiful notecards, with paintings on the front and a matching painting on the envelope.Each card is one of a kind and Helen
has clients from all across the United States.
