Through its philanthropy, the Company gives back a portion of its earnings to help communities be more sustainable. She joined the Company in 1993 in Corporate External Affairs, managing community relations and serving as the department's budget director. Helen is a Certified Public Accountant and served in various roles -- financial management, comptrollers, tax, and human resource with BellSouth Corporation and Arthur Andersen & Company prior to joining the Company. She earned a B.S. degree in chemistry from Spelman College and an MBA degree from Atlanta University, now Clark Atlanta University. Helen currently serves on the boards of the Association of Corporate Contributions Professionals, Corporate Contributions Council of The Conference Board, Woodruff Arts Center's Alliance Theatre, The Villages at Carver Family YMCA, and the Nominations Committee for the United Way of Greater Atlanta.
