Helen O. Conklin This workshop introduces a multi-layered oil painting technique which was perfected by Italian and Dutch Old Masters.Students paint one landscape.A slide presentation, materials lectures and paint handling demonstrations supplement this course.Open to all levels. COURSE TOPICS: Helen Oh Helen Oh is a representational painter and conservator of old master paintings. She attended the School of Visual Art in New York City and holds a certificate in painting from the National Academy School in New York City. Ms. Oh is part-time faculty member at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a visiting instructor at the New York Academy of Art.She is a member of the Palette and Chisel Academy, where she teaches still life painting in a Baroque technique. She is a recipient of two Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grants and a Julius Hallgarten Prize from the National Academy Museum. Lyons - Weir Packer Gallery in Chicago and Salander-O'Reilly Gallery in New York City represent her paintings.The artist's work is in the collections of America's Society and Columbia University, as well as other public and private collections at the National Academy Museum, New York City, the Muscarelle Museum of Art, Virginia, and St. Anselm College, New Hampshire.
