Heidi Gealt Named IUF's "Pride of Indiana"

.Gealt is the director of the Indiana University Art Museum on the IU Bloomington campus.

Established in 1941, it has grown from a small university teaching collection into one of the foremost university art museums in the country, committed to advancing the educational and research goals of the university as well as enriching the cultural life of the community.The collections are known for their high quality and breadth, and are housed in a building designed by architect I.M. Pei. Gealt is an associate professor in the Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts and is a widely published scholar who has authored numerous books, catalogs, and articles.She
has organized a number of exhibitions in the U.S. and been awarded several fellowships and grants.She is a former member of the Indiana Arts Commission and is listed in Who's Who in American Art. Gealt received her undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and her master's and doctorate from Indiana University.
