Heather coordinates AAPCHO's Pacific Innovation Collaborative: Pacific Health Technology Innovation and the Incentivizing the Outcome: Paying for Population Health at Hawaii Federally Qualified Health Centers projects.
Before joining AAPCHO in November 2008, she conducted research at the University of California, San Francisco and the San Francisco State University Center on Health Disparities Research and Training.
She has also worked at the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine as a researcher and community organizer on Native Hawaiian health in Waimanalo and Kailua, where she grew up.
Heather received her Master of Arts degree in Asian American Studies from San Francisco State University, and her Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and American Studies from Brandeis University.
