Heath Eric
Heath Eric - President, Rumsey Records LLC Heath Eric, founder and president of Rumsey Records LLC, has a very special relationship with the music business that extends far beyond his title.
Prior to starting Rumsey Records LLC, Heath worked as the Director of Marketing for the Executive Inn Rivermont in Owensboro, Kentucky. In addition to directing all marketing & public relationsprograms, Heath served as the hotel spokesperson. Heath created, developed, and managed events of all sizes while working closely with promoters, presenters, management companies, national acts, and government officials to fill five venues (indoor & outdoor) on the 600-room property.
During his time with the "Big E," Heath was instrumental in the creation of the widely popular & successful "Sunset Series," an outdoor summer concert series in downtown Owensboro, KY. Additionally, he worked with his team to bring world-class acts (such as The Black Crowes, Tower of Power, Merle Haggard, and many more) to the western Kentucky region.
Heath's leadership was foundational in creating annual events & festivals such as: "Concert for Kids," a holiday concert benefit for the Goodfellows Club, "Elevation," an annual Christian Music Festival, and "Bierstubes on the Ohio," an outdoor concert series featuring national acts.
Heath has served as President-Elect for the Kentucky Events & Festivals Association, on the board for the International BBQ Festival, and on the board (and co-founder) of the "Rumsey River Jam," an annual concert fundraiser to help clothe needy children in McLean County. Heath has received numerous Travel & Tourism Industry Awards for his marketing programs and special events.
After many years and much experience in the corporate sector, Heath decided to follow his dream. In 2009, Heath founded Rumsey Records LLC and set off on a life adventure as a full-time musician and business owner. Heath has brought his vast knowledge and experience into sharp focus to establish Rumsey Records LLC as a professional, full-service Event Production Company and Recording Studio.
Heath produces the opening ceremonies for the Baseball Player's Association Little League World-Series each year in Owensboro, KY. Additionally, he works with regional Indie-Artists to produce several recording projects annually.
In 2009, Heath was selected for "Artistic Excellence" and is listed in the prestigious Performing Arts Directory. He was chosen as the "Featured Artist of the Year" for the 2011 Kentucky Annual Report. He served on the Arts-Education Roster and has led summer music camps for children throughout the region. Heath also works with select Kentucky Artists and Arts-based Organizations as a consultant on the Kentucky Peer Advisory Network (KPAN) with the Kentucky Arts Council.
Heath Eric is a gifted, charismatic, polished, dynamic, motivational public speaker. He leads presentations and workshops, and occasionally accepts offers to speak on behalf of organizations and at special events. He served as an Ambassador and spokesperson for the 2010 FEI Alltech World Equestrian Games.
Heath is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and, in 2013, was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel for his outstanding achievements while representing the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Heath's passion is working with aspiring artists and event producers to make dreams come true.
Heath currently spends much of his time touring with the 2-piece Roots-Rock band: Heath & Molly. Heath & Molly are on contract with Kentucky State Parks, performing approximately 20 concerts annually at various Kentucky State Parks. They have completed two concert tours of the Czech Republic and perform an average of 150 shows annually. Heath & Molly have released four original albums and receive domestic and international airplay.

Kentucky Folk Artist and Kentucky Art's Council Performing Arts Directory member Heath Eric has partnered with several local artists and musicians to produce a song that pays tribute to the history and impact of the Executive Inn Rivermont in Owensboro, Kentucky. It also highlights the sad reality of the hotel's untimely and unfortunate demise.

The original song, "Big Pile of Bricks," written and composed by the songwriting team of Americana songwriter Rick Miller and Heath Eric, features the talent of several area musicians including: Heath Eric, Jeff "Wildman" Hardesty, Molly G. Troutman, Bill Blakeley, and Randy Lanham.
It is being released and published through Kentucky Roots Music, LLC (ASCAP), a publishing company partnership focused on promoting Kentucky music and heritage, formed by Rick Miller, Randy Lanham, and Heath Eric.
Heath Eric also shared his thoughts on the hotel, "Some of my fondest memories are of going to the Big E with my Granddad to eat, swim, listen to music, and run around the walkways!
