"People still want to see the old-time stuff," said Hazel Staley, executive secretary of the Virginia Association of Fairs, Inc.
"We've gone so far into the future that when they come to these fairs they want to see the stuff that's tried and true and been going on for years."
Among those things are antique cars and farm equipment and exhibits related to local agriculture--but most of all, real live farm animals.
