Harvey Tanenbaum Executive Vice President The career of Harvey Tanenbaum has spanned over 30 years in the retail and wholesale pharmaceutical industry, beginning as a practicing pharmacist and culminating as the Executive Vice President for H. D. Smith. Prior to his current position, Harvey served as Senior Vice President Business Development, and as the founding Division President of H. D. Smith's New York Metro Division. As a graduate of the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy, and a registered pharmacist in both New York and California, Harvey's prior retail management experience ultimately led him to corporate level development of pharmacy distribution, ordering and credit management systems for the wholesale drug industry. As a former retail pharmacy owner, Harvey maintains close ties to the professional community and is committed to furthering the profession by serving as advisor and consultant to various state pharmacy associations. He is a member of the Council of Overseers of the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Services, one of the oldest and largest colleges of pharmacy in the United States. He also regularly serves in an advisory capacity to organizations such as the Independent Pharmacy Alliance of America, Keystone Pharmacy Alliance, Garden State Pharmacy Owners Association and the Academy of Independent Pharmacy.
