Harvey was the capital's first full-time council Film Officer (Greenwich) - a role he first developed in 1988 and which is now a common feature of all 33 London boroughs. In 1998 he joined Film London and in that time deputised in over half those boroughs including Westminster and the City of London. Since taking on the role of Broadcast & Media Liaison manager at the National Trust in 2003 - he has run the filming unit there managing such projects as Alice in Wonderland and Never Let Me Go. He remains a Consultant to Film London and works closely with the agency regarding the forthcoming Olympics.
