Harry NealFRANKLIN, N.C. -- Mr. Harry E. Neal, 77, of Oakdale Drive died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital.A native of Clay County, N.C., Mr. Neal was a son of the late Elmer Neal and Delza Anderson Crawford.He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict, where he served as a mortician.He was a graduate of Gupton-Jones Mortuary College of Nashville, Tenn., and was a licensed embalmer and funeral director.He was the retired owner and operator of Bryant Funeral Home and was on the board of directors for Macon Bank.He was a member of Franklin VFW Post 7339, American Legion Post 108 and Franklin First Baptist Church.He also was a member of Junaluskan Masonic Lodge 145, Franklin Lions Club and the Smoky Mountain Shriners.
