taught in Kansas City, Kan., public schools from 1939 to 1941.She taught first-graders at South Hialeah Elementary School in Dade County, Fla., from 1964 to 1983. She
was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Bonner Springs, the daughter of Levi and Cecil Darby Smith.She graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kan., in 1935.She graduated from Baker University in Baldwin City in 1939.She later received a master's degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.She
had lived in Miami Springs, Fla., and Overland Park before moving to Topeka in 2000.
...Mrs. Weible was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at Baker University, Prairie Rose Chapter D.A.R., Colonial Dames and was a Magna Carta Dame.She was an active member of the Keenagers of Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village.
