Harold F. Deisher, 65, of Montclair died on Friday, May 17, at the Van Dyk Nursing Home, Montclair.
Born in Dushore, Pa., Mr. Deisher lived in New York City and Clifton before moving to Montclair 37 years ago.
He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1961 with a bachelor of arts in journalism.He was with the Military Police in the Army in France.
Mr. Deisher worked for Reed Reference Publishers in New Providence, before retiring two years ago.Previously he had been in advertising sales for the Ladies Home Journal of New York City for 25 years.
He was one of the founders of the Montclair Stars Soccer league in Montclair, a life member of the Penn State Alumni, and a life member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Mr. Deisher is survived by his wife Doris Meyer Deisher; two daughters, Pamela Deisher and Kimberly Deisher Cassidy; two sons, Brent and Kyle Deisher; two sisters, Mary Sue Cave and Phyllis Ann Prater; and two grandchildren, Hayden and Charolette.
