Superintendent Harlan "Butch" Cotter
Butch Cotter has been in public education for 36 years as a teacher, coach, and an administrator.He
will tell you when he
grows up: he
doesn't want to be a superintendent!Butch graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in psychology and physical education.Butch holds advanced degrees in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University and also Illinois State University. Butch has served three school systems as their superintendent, Seneca Township High School, Robinson Unit School District, and currently Pontiac Township High School.One unique characteristic of Butch is he tries to visit the home of each incoming student during the spring and summer to help parents and students adjust to high school life.Butch
knows the community, the parents, and most important, the STUDENTS!
