Hal Jay, morning DJ at WBAP/820-AM, took offense at being called a blowhard in a recent Static column about radio personalities who endorsed Body Solutions. The company that produced the weight-loss formula is bankrupt and facing various lawsuits after earning more than $150 million by enlisting hundreds of radio personalities to endorse the herbal potion.Jay didn't mention being offended by Static's other adjectives, such as "shyster"-- just the B-word."I didn't understand the slam."You'd think anyone who makes a living in talk radio would have blowhard printed on his driver's license.Jay also said he never received phone messages from Fort Worth Weekly, asking for comment. That's a problem between him and the station's phone receptionist.

Jay's a nice enough guy.He said he used Body Solutions for a few weeks, lost about 7 pounds, and endorsed it for about six weeks until his doctor told him that the product probably offered no real help for weight loss."I wish I could go back and not do it," he said.
