A native of Korea, Dr. Ko received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Seoul National University School of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea.He completed his psychiatry residency (serving as chief resident at Erie County Medical Center) through SUNY at Buffalo Department of Psychiatry in 1980.Dr. Ko is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a certified New York State Buprenorphine specialist.He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, and serves as assistant clinical professor in SUNY at Buffalo's Department of Psychiatry.He is also an attending psychiatrist at Buffalo General Hospital and Erie County Medical Center.
