Dr. Orangio graduated Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
He is currently the Vice Chair of the Socioeconomic Committee for the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
Dr. Orangio has dedicated time to the community by currently serving as Executive Board Member of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, Georgia/Tennessee Chapters and the Medical Education Committee.
He is an active member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American Medical Association and the Medical Association of Georgia.
