Guy Delaney, Interim Associate Pastor, was born in Houston, Texas.After graduating from high school, he received a degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M.Guy
and Charlotte were married prior to his
reporting for duty in the US Army Infantry at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas. Following his
and Charlotte moved to Houston where Guy
took a job with Sinclair Refining Company
At the age of thirty-one, and with four daughters, Guy
and Charlotte answered a call and moved to Austin, Texas, where Guy
enrolled in Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary
.Upon receiving his Master of Divinity three years later, Guy accepted a call to Bellaire Presbyterian Church in Houston.
Successive calls were to Second Presbyterian Church, Little Rock, Arkansas; Trinity Presbyterian Church, Arlington, Virginia; the faculty of Union Seminary
in Virginia, Kirk in the Pines in Hot Springs National Park; and President of Mo-Ranch Conference Center
in the Texas Hill Country.While pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Guy earned his Doctor of Ministry at Union Seminary.
Charlotte died of a brain tumor in 1993.Prior to coming to Bayside Presbyterian Church, Guy served as Interim Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Pasadena Texas - his home church.
