Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, regional chief of the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Luzon, has ordered an investigation into the "extortion attempt" on Dr. Stephen Soul by the Pampanga CIDT under Supt.
An independent probe body from the CIDG
regional office in Camp Olivas has been conducting the investigation since Friday.
"I ordered a thorough probe of the allegations of Soul.If this is true, I will not tolerate this, not in my command," Eleazar
told People's Journal
Soul, a former Australian justice of the peace, was arrested by the CIDT while allegedly about to rape two girls, aged 14 and 17, inside his
rented apartment in Dona Josefa Subd., Angeles City last Aug. 13.He
was detained at the Angeles City district jail for 10 days but got out after posting P120,000 bail.He
immediately disclosed to the media that a syndicate using minors in Angeles City are targetting foreign tourists and making trumped-up charges against them.
Soul claimed a syndicate involving policemen have been victimizing foreign nationals like him extorting huge amount of money from them.He
came to know from friends that many foreigners victimized by the syndicate opted not to speak out.
