Gregory S. Martinelli is a member of Ernst & Young LLP's Tax Controversy and Risk Management Services group.
Based in Washington, D.C., Greg advises clients on federal tax matters relating to taxpayer penalties, reportable transactions and tax return preparer penalties. Following a judicial clerkship with a New Jersey state superior court judge, Greg was in private law practice for eight years. In 2001, Greg joined another large accounting firm's national tax office. There, he was responsible for advising the tax practice on tax controversy, tax quality and risk management matters. Greg joined Ernst & Young LLP in 2006. Greg received an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, a J.D. from Widener University School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law. He is a member of the bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
