The logos were created and designed by FHS faculty member Gregg Lee.Lee approached FHS Principal Marlon Davis about the school adopting a logo when the teachers were asked, in a recent faculty meeting, if they had any new ideas of ways to promote the school.
...
Lee, in his first year at FHS, has desktop designing background and has done freelance work for companies in the past."It seemed like the school had no way to represent themselves in the community and beyond," Lee said.
...
Mr. Lee originally developed six designs, and those were reviewed by members of the FHS staff. Finally two logos were settled on.One will be used by the school in the academic arena and the other logo will be used for the athletic teams."Logos are what make people known," Lee said.
...
"We hope our students and staff will take pride in the new logos," Lee said."We hope teams, teachers, student groups, etc. will start putting the logo on everything they order, from shirts to sweaters to folders."In the near future FHS hopes to sell clothing adorned the new logos.Lee says, "This could be a great way to raise money for the school as well as introduce our new school logos."
