Sparked Positive Change During 35 Years In EducationAfter 35 years of experience in education, Gregg Crocker, principal of Robert Frost North Elementary School, is retiring.Crocker's career has included teaching and administering staff development roles.Over the last ten years, Crocker served as principal or assistant principal to elementary and middle schools in Wheeling School Dist.
The positive changes Crocker helped to develop are programs designed to motivate both students and parents.In collaboration with Illinois State University
and sponsorship from the Kellogg Foundation
helped to establish programs that offer students assistance beyond the school day.
The club did not have any cuts," said Crocker
has done an excellent job," said Crocker
has trained twenty teachers to mediate and recruit students."Crocker
will continue to work part-time next year to help develop networking programs throughout the district.He
also hopes to spend time traveling with his
wife and visiting his
parents who live in Quincy, Ill.
