By Greg Mizel, Principal, Mesa Verde Middle School
He was a Deadhead through and through--a throwback to the sixties and Haight-Ashbury.

By the beginning of May, Giaime expects to have hired coaches, picked uniforms and lettermen jackets and, along with Principal Greg Mizel, have decided what some of the rooms that are currently under construction will be used for and order equipment for them.
Giaime and Mizel say the school intends to be ready to play from the first day, and the hope is that the school might be able to draw students looking for an opportunity to make immediate contributions to a sports team. Mizel, the former principal at Mesa Verde Middle School, said student interest will ultimately determine which sports are offered the first year, though he added there will be a good mix of sports for boys and girls, as required under Title IX.
