Updated 5/1/08Greg Carroll begins his 10th year as head coach Bob Shillinglaw's top assistant with the University of Delaware men's lacrosse staff in 2009.He was promoted to the position of associate head coach on Dec. 6, 2005.

A native of Long Island, NY, Carroll
, 33, was a standout player at Harborfields High School
and moved on to a four-year career at Loyola
under head coach Dave Cottle.
While with the Greyhounds, Carroll
played four varsity seasons, appearing in 40 career games and leading nationally-rankd Loyola
to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances.After finishing his playing career in 1997, Carroll began his coaching career in 1998 at Severn Prep High School in Severna Park, MD while finishing his undergraduate studies at Loyola.He moved on to the college ranks where he served as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Washington & Lee College in Lexington, VA.While at Washington & Lee in 1999, he helped lead the Generals to a record of 13-2 and a berth in the NCAA quarterfinals.
