Greg Buchanan
Greg began his career as an electrical engineer with Pirelli-Ericsson and worked with them for over 6 years. Early in his working life he became involved in computer technology, hardware and software. He has now worked in the computer industry for over 30 years including as a Director for Microsoft for 7 years where he was responsible for the technical services strategy across the Asia Pacific region and within Australia. He established a centralized support centre for the Asia Pacific region out of Microsoft's Sydney office, which was considered by Microsoft to be of the highest quality and responsiveness. Prior to working for Microsoft, Greg spent 9 years as a Director at Apple Computer and in that time was responsible for technical services, retail computer sales/marketing and IS9000 quality programs. Whilst at Apple he introduced the Peforma range of personal computers into the Australian retail market. Greg also worked for Texas Instruments in their minicomputer division back in the late 1970s as a technical specialist on all of their products and was a key manager. In his time as a senior manager Greg has managed multi-million dollar profit centers and has owned and operated his own small business. He continues to consult in business development for small and medium enterprises and as a great lover of films, with a young director established a film company, New Realms Films. In 2000 as a result of a head injury in rugby Greg left Microsoft to pursue research into a little known health approach, Upper Cervical care. He discovered, like many others, that this health approach is amazing and is worthy of letting the world know it exists. In that context Greg has spent the last 13 years of his life communicating the benefits of Upper Cervical care to the world. He developed a website www.upcspine.com summarizing his experiences and hypotheses for the mechanisms of human diseases and conditions related to injury to the Upper Cervical spine. He has presented to various conferences and groups around the world and has communicated with and supported people from all over the world desperately seeking answers to their medical problems. In 2007, with Bill Barretta of Muppets fame (www.imdb.com/name/nm0057321) and his wife Cristina, Greg produced a documentary about Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care entitled 'The Power of Upper Cervical' (www.thepowerofuppercervical.com). In December 2012 Greg was invited to join the Board of Upper Cervical Health Centers of America. He has been working with it since to develop and implement plans to expand Upper Cervical Health Centers to ensure that people around the world have access to this kind of health care. He has been a shareholder since 2007. Greg has degrees in electrical engineering, finance and business administration, is a member of the Australian Institute of Management, the Institution of Engineers Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He lives in Australia with his wife Heather and two children Ben and Holly.
