Dr. Greer G. Gordon
Dr. Greer Gordon is a Roman Catholic theologian, author and lecturer. She served in administration at the University of Massachusetts and at Regis College in Weston, Mass., and was a diocesan director in Washington D.C., Oakland, Boston and Baton Rouge, La. Dr. Gordon was one of eight American women invited by the Vatican to respond to John Paul IIs encyclical on women. The first woman to deliver a Baccalaureate Address for Boston University, Greer is a frequent speaker at RECongress. She is currently a theological consultant for a social service collective in South Louisiana.

Dear Friend, This past February at the Religious Education Congress Call To Action had the opportunity to participate in sessions facilitated by Dr. Greer Gordon. Her presentations, Loving God and Leading with Grace, were a powerful and dynamic witness to the power of the laity building up the Church. Today, we are extremely pleased to announce that Dr. Greer Gordon has accepted our invitation to give a keynote address at the 2016 National Call To Action Conference November 11-13 in Albuquerque, NM. Greer Gordon is a Roman Catholic theologian, author, and lecturer known for her work in the field of apologetics, evangelization, and catechetics. Workshop panelist Dr. Greer Gordon, a professor at the University of Massachusetts and religious education consultant, said sexuality formation is essential to help priests, whether gay or heterosexual, remain faithful in the midst of the church community.
"We have made both men and women religious asexual. Asexuality is not how God created us. We are sexual beings, and it's part of what we bring into any way we deal with other people, no matter what our orientation may be," said Gordon. According to Gordon, catechists need to rise above fear to understand homosexuality. "We have to be willing to assist (some of) our clergy, who are themselves homosexual, in learning what it means to live a life that is free, a life that is open, but a life that is celibate," she noted,
